COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN
Ninja Sports Club is committed to the health and safety of all of its staff and customers. Our COVID-19 Safety Plan (below) is designed to reduce the likelihood of transmitting COVID-19 in our gym. We ask that all staff and customers be informed of our plan prior to attending our gym. The plan will be available on our website, at front desk, and can be sent out via email upon request. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone that does not abide by these rules.
Ninja Sports Club is only allowing a maximum of 26 users at one time. We are allowing up to a maximum of 18 users on the Ninja side, and up to a maximum of 8 users in the Weight Room area.
2 METER DISTANCING
Our facility is visibly marked out into designated zones that are spaced 2 meters apart. We are doing this to ensure that each user has at least a 2 meter distance between the next user. All users must adhere to the designated zones at all times. Congregating, wrestling, playing “tag,” and other “horseplay” types of behaviour will not be permitted.
Ninja Sports Club will be enforcing the 3-strike rule in regards to 2 meter distancing. Users that fail to respect and obey the 2 meter distancing rules will be verbally warned up to a maximum of two times. On the third infraction, users will be excused from the class, and if the user is a child, then we will be notifying the parents.
All visitors & users of Ninja Sports Club will be required use the hand sanitizer provided at Front Desk upon entering our club. Visitors that refuse will not be allowed inside the gym.
Ninja Sports Club staff will be cleaning, and sanitizing all high traffic areas multiple times per day and after every class. Users will be asked to help sanitize their workout areas after classes are finished. We hope that everyone is on-board with keeping our gym clean and sanitized for the next users.
Our end of day closing duties will include a complete clean and sanitization procedure so that the 6AM morning users can be certain that they are walking into a clean and sanitized gym from the night before.
ENTERING THE GYM
Users that are attending classes will be allowed to enter the gym 10-minutes prior to the start of a class. Observing classes as a spectator will not be allowed at this time.
Upon entering the gym, users will be asked to completed the COVID-19 Self Assessment Questionnaire below (page 3). Once completed, users will then have the ability to check-in with front desk staff and enter the gym.
AFTER CLASS & EXITING THE GYM
Users will not be allowed on the equipment again after a class has completed and the equipment has been sanitized. Users will be able to exit the gym using a different doorway than the one they entered.
Please pay close attention to signage or instructions from staff.
UPON SCANNING INTO EACH CLASS, YOU AGREE TO HAVE COMPLETED THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AND AND HAVE ANSWERED ‘NO’ TO EACH ONE.
1. Are you experiencing any of the following:
- Severe difficulty breathing (e.g. struggling to breathe or speaking in single words)
- Severe chest pain
- Having a very hard time waking up
- Feeling confused
- Losing consciousness
2. Are you experiencing any of the following:
- Mild to moderate shortness of breath
- Inability to lie down because of difficulty breathing
- Chronic health conditions that you are having difficulty managing because of difficulty breathing
3. Are you experiencing cold, flu or COVID-19-like symptoms, even mild ones?
- Symptoms include: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue or loss of appetite.
4. Have you travelled to any countries outside Canada (including the United States) within the last 14 days?
5. Did you provide care or have close contact with a person with confirmed COVID-19?
Note: This means you would have been contacted by your health authority’s public health team.

PRE-REGISTERING FOR CLASSES
Due to the limited amount of space allowed for classes, we strongly recommend that users pre-register their spot(s) beforehand. Users are allowed to pre-register for classes up to seven (7) days in advance, and can do so by using the following methods:

Users that have pre-registered for classes will have priority over walk-ins.
Users that pre-register for classes but cannot attend are expected to notify us. We ask for a minimum of one (1) hour notice.
Users that pre-register for classes and no-show for the class will receive a one- time courtesy warning. All other subsequent no-shows will be subject to a $20/person no-show fee
Ninja Sports Club is only allowing one (1) person at a time to use our bathrooms. Parents with children that need assistance are the only exception to this rule.
FRONT DESK COUNTER
Only employees of Ninja Sports Club are allowed behind front desk. Maximum of two (2) persons at any given time.
Only employees of Ninja Sports Club are allowed into the staff room. Maximum of two (2) persons at any given time.
HAND HYGIENE PRACTICES
All users are expected to sanitize their hands upon entering our gym. All staff are expected to sanitize their hands multiple times a day, and especially after each class/workout/session.
PERSONAL TRAINING & KINESIOLOGY SESSIONS
Personal Training & Kinesiology training sessions can occur so long as the client and training are maintaining 6’ foot distance. Physical contact (assisted stretching or “spotting) is discouraged. If in the event hand contact is necessary, then hand hygiene must be practiced immediately after.
Clients are asked to arrive no more than 10-minutes prior to their appointment. Clients are responsible to notify trainers if they are exhibiting symptoms after making the appointment.
Group classes will be offered at Ninja Sports Club using the space capacity outlined above. Our large overhead doors may be opened to promote open air flow to the gym.
As per WorkSafe BC guidelines, area fans may result in greater dispersion of droplets and will not operated at this time.
